Survival Techniques Course:
**U.S.C.G. Approved - meets STCW requirements**


Aim:
To provide the practical skills, backed by theoretical knowledge
to abandon a vessel wearing a life jacket or immersion suit. The
launching and operation of an inflatable liferaft in the water predominates
in the course, both practically and theoretically. Any applicant
successfully completing the 14-hour Personal Survival Techniques
course and presenting their Certificate of Training at a U.S. Coast
Guard Regional Exam Center will satisfy the Personal Survival Training
requirements of Section A-VI/1 and Table A-VI/1-1 of the Seafarers'
Training Certifcation and Watchkeeping (STCW) Code and 46 CFR 10.205(I)(1).
