Sea
Survival Course:

Aim:
To provide all personnel working on or traveling over water in both
aircraft and marine vessels, with the knowledge and skills necessary
to react effectively to an emergency, endure a sea survival situation,
and participate in their own rescue.
Content:
This one-day course consists of both classroom and practical sessions
in our training tank and in an open-water environment including:
- Introduction to sea survival techniques
and equipment
- Environmental hazards
- Physical and psychological stress
- Introduction to search & rescue
resources
- Use of signaling devices
- Group survival formations
- Immersion suits
- Liferaft deployment and survival techniques
- Open water group survival formations
- Recovery by a Fast Rescue Craft
- Moving transfer between rescue vehicles
