Sea Survival Course:



Aim:
To provide all personnel working on or traveling over water in both aircraft and marine vessels, with the knowledge and skills necessary to react effectively to an emergency, endure a sea survival situation, and participate in their own rescue.

Content:
This one-day course consists of both classroom and practical sessions in our training tank and in an open-water environment including:

• Introduction to sea survival techniques and equipment


• Environmental hazards


• Physical and psychological stress


• Introduction to search & rescue resources


• Use of signaling devices


• Group survival formations


• Immersion suits


• Liferaft deployment and survival techniques


• Open water group survival formations


• Recovery by a Fast Rescue Craft


• Moving transfer between rescue vehicles
